Summer of Sports kicks off at Atria Watford

Game, set, match and more – sports has arrived in Watford this summer.

From July, Atria Watford will be a hub for sports fans, showing the biggest and best events live on the big screen for all to enjoy – and hopefully a few more England games too!

From Thursday 1 July, visitors can head down to the Atrium near Cineworld and Hollywood Bowl, pull up a deckchair or get comfy on a beanbag, and soak up the atmosphere of the sporting events you love to watch.

The big screen will kick off with Wimbledon, the Euros, the Cricket, Tour de France, Formula 1, the British and Irish Lions Tour in the first two weeks of July – followed by the Golf on 15 July, the Olympic Games on 23 July, and the Horseracing from 26 July.

Sports on the big screen will continue into August, showing the last of the Olympics, the British and Irish Lions Tour, Formula 1 and the Cricket.

Those who get peckish during the sports have got direct access to fantastic food just a short walk from the big screen. Enjoy a bite to eat at the likes of TGI Fridays, Yo! Sushi and Pizza Express, or perhaps just a quick snack from nearby Churros Mexicanos so you don’t miss out on the action.

Afterwards, why not celebrate a win (or cheers to commiseration) with a pint or two at Cassio Lounge or a cocktail from The Florist?

If you’re feeling inspired to get back to your old sporting hobbies, or hoping to look the part for the next big event, you can shop a huge range of sportswear for adults, teens and children at JD Sports, Sports Direct, schuh, Soletrader, Office and more.
