Watford Food & Drink week returns to our town centre from 26th July – 1st August with discounted menus, special offers, a Gin & Jazz evening, plus plenty of local eateries for you to support at their time of need - Food & Drink week website.
Watford Food & Drink week is the perfect opportunity for you to break your routine and try some new cuisine or simply to return to your favourite restaurants. With so many great restaurants to choose from, Watford is truly spoiled for choice. From Italian to Japanese to Brazilian and everything in between, the number and variety of restaurants across the Highstreet is broad. So why not go out and experience them?
Many of these cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars offer great deals all year round and Watford Food & Drink week is all about highlighting those deals for customers to see, with some eateries even offering special promotions exclusively for Watford Food & Drink Week!
As the month comes to a close, things are increasingly looking up for the town. This week we finally saw night clubs reopening their doors and people returning to the town centre to socialise after an incredibly long time of not being able to meet with more than a few mates.
With the social scene of the town centre finally beginning to return to a pre-covid state, it’s time to take a moment to appreciate the places and people that make the social scene so special. The restaurants that deliver such amazing food and lively atmospheres; the cafes in which people sit, rest, and enjoy a quiet moment in the middle of a hectic work week; the pubs in which people find themselves after the workday has ended; and, of course, the friends that people spend time with, in those pubs, cafes, and restaurants. That is why Watford BID is relaunching their popular Food & Drink Week campaign.
“Our goal with our Watford Food & Drink week campaign this year is to get people back in the habit of doing what they love and socialising over a bite to eat or a nice drink and to reassure people that they can safely meet up in Watford Town centre to return to their favourite venues or even find somewhere new,” says Maria Manion, Watford BID’s Chief Executive.
To that end, Watford BID have partnered up with eateries across the high street to bring awareness of the brilliant selection of food and drinks on offer. Across the Watford Food & Drink week, Watford BID will be maintaining a website where all the deals offered throughout the week will be displayed including some special promotions exclusively for Watford Food and Drink week!
Among which you can enjoy a glass of wine and a platter of cheese for two for just £15 at Bloomsyard, a glass of Crémant with any à la carte main course purchase from Côte Brasserie, and a massive 20% off any à la carte or drinks purchase at Fratelli Authentic Italian. To which Franco, Fratelli’s part owner, says, “Food and Drink week is about celebrating food and drink but it’s also about celebrating people which is why we decided to give our customers such a great deal.”
The special promotions are only a few of the good deals on offer, others run every week and not just this one! For instance, The Slug and Lettuce offer a bottomless brunch for just £28 pp every weekend for those that prebook, Tortilla offer 2 for 1 Margaritas after 2pm every day of the week, and Opuz Kitchen offers a 2 course Lunch special for just £11.90 Monday to Friday, 12pm to 5pm. Those being just a small selection of the great offers that restaurants, cafes, and pubs on the high street offer their customers. Great deals aren’t the only reason to get excited about Watford Food and Drink Week, however. The week is set to end on a high note with the exclusive Gin & Jazz promotion on Thursday the 29th of July in which customers can enjoy live jazz performances from the local jazz band “The Ten Bells Rag Band” alongside delicious gin cocktails in two of our popular high street venues, The Garden Rooms and Steinbeck & Shaw. With sets starting at 7pm at The Garden Room and 9pm at Steinbeck & Shaw, let The Ten Bells Rag Band entertain you with their New Orleans style jazz with an East End twist!
