Free and fun activities this summer holiday
Following on from the Easter activities, Watford Borough Council is hosting a range of free, fun and challenging activities during the summer holiday for children and young people aged from five to 15.The fun starts on Monday 30 July all the way through up until Saturday 1 September, when Big Sports takes place.
There’ll be a range of activities to enjoy including drama workshops, dance academy, singing and stage school. Kids can also let their imagination guide them on different adventures, such as saving the world as a superhero or taking part in some Wild West fun. For more active children and young people, there’ll be plenty of sports to take part in or arts and craft sessions to keep them busy. All activities will take place in parks, open spaces and some indoor locations across Watford.
Cllr Karen Collett, Cabinet Member for Community, said: “The five week programme of events are a terrific opportunity for children and young people to stay active, make friends and have fun all while enjoying the wonderful weather we’re having at the moment. This year we have a huge variety of exciting activities to keep all ages entertained. We hope to see many of you there.”
All sessions are free and no booking is required so feel free to turn up to as many sessions as you wish. Participants or their parents/carers must register each child at every activity they attend by signing in.
